When I first came across this game I DID NOT enjoy it. About a year later becuase it was twenty dollars and my friend wanted me to get it I bought it. Here are the pros and cons of Battlefield: Bad Company.
Pros:
Addictive multiplayer
Destructible environments
Big vast multiplayer maps
Cons:
Vehicles (too powerful)
Not a lot of weapon choice
Takes forever to kill someone
Only two game types
Not a very addictive single player
Score: 84/100
Multiplayer:
The multiplayer is addictive but very challenging. Some people will find refuge in a helicopter, tank, or in a jeep. If you aren't a demo man you are in for a rude awakening because the vehicles will dominate you. There is also only five weapons per class and the majority have iron sightings making it harder to pick someone off across the map. Gold Rush if one of the two game types. Gold Rush you play either as the Attackers or the Defenders. One team defends the gold crates from being destroyed and the other destroys the gold crates. Defending is a bit easier. All you really have to do is camp and you should suceed. Attacking is a bit harder because you will have people shooting at you all over and people are camping. There is another game type, Conquest, which I have never played but it is supposed to be like capture the flag. It is fun when you have a good team. But when you are on a bad team you are going to have problems. Work together with your team or you will lose.
Single Player:
The single player is annoying because the missions are long and it is hard to pick of Russians across the map with an iron sighting. If you get to close to them they will kill you. But there is a partically good part to Bad Company's single player. When you die everything you did prior to dying is still done. For example, you kill a Russian and then you are killed by another the one you killed is still dead and the one that killed you is still in the same spot. But the problem with that is it takes away from the challenge of the game.
